TRYOUT REGISTRATION

  • Every player must register for tryouts. This helps our coaches plan for the number of participants and allows the booster club to get all new players into our system for communication. The registration is a simple Google form and is completely FREE—there’s no cost to try out!

TRYOUT ATTENDANCE

  • It is required to attend tryout. During check-in, you’ll be sized for your uniform, so please plan to arrive early to ensure everything runs smoothly.

  • If you are unable to attend tryout, please email ahsbucs.girlsbasketball@gmail.com as soon as possible as we want to ensure all players have a chance to be assessed.

  • Parents are not permitted to sit in on tryouts or practices during the JR BUCS season. The JR BUCS program is designed as a feeder into the high school teams, where developing focus, independence, and a strong team dynamic are crucial. When parents are present, it can inadvertently create distractions for the players, who may feel added pressure or divided attention. By ensuring that tryouts and practices are player-only environments, we help the athletes concentrate fully on their coaches, teammates, and the game itself. Thank you for your understanding and support in fostering the best possible atmosphere for your child’s growth and success in basketball.

ABOUT THE JR. BUCS GIRLS LEAGUE

The JR. BUCS Girls League competes in the Cobb County Junior Basketball Conference (CCJCB) and is comprised of 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who are districted for Allatoona High School.

The JR. BUCS Girls League is the direct feeder program for Allatoona High School Girls Basketball, and is designed for future girls players hoping to play for Allatoona High School. Teams will practice 2-3 times per week at AHS, and play between 25-30 games per season. This is a competitive league that plays against other high school feeder teams across the metro area.

Teams operate under the vision of the high school programs, and are supported by the Allatoona Basketball Tip-Off Club. They are designed to prepare players for high school basketball. All future BUCS are strongly encouraged to try-out!
